The leaders of the Anglican Church of Canada (ACC) and the Evangelical
Lutheran Church in Canada (ELCIC) mark their churches’ full communion
relationship by issuing a joint video message for Easter. In this two-minute
video, Archbishop Fred Hiltz, primate of the ACC, and Bishop Susan Johnson,
national bishop of the ELCIC speak about the importance of Holy Week,
particularly during this time of economic strain.
Bishop Salmon’s Lenten Bible Study will begin on the 1st Sunday in Lent, March 1st, 2009. This study will be done by the whole Diocese of Fredericton. In the Parish of Central Kings, the study will be conducted during the Sunday service in place of the weekly sermon. This will give us the opportunity to have times of learning and reflection together during the season of Lent.
